Firmware Update for InkCase i7

Step 1:

Download Installer via a link below. 

Windows Installer

Mac Installer

Next, download the firmware below.

Rest of the world: InkCase Firmware for i7 V1.6.9 (Updated on 16 Mar 2018)

China only: InkCase Firmware for i7 V1.6.5 CN (Updated on 8 Dec 2017)

Step 2:

Install the InkCase Installer which you have downloaded. Open the installer you should see this:

*Both Mac and Windows should see the same updater. 

Step 3:

Connect the InkCase i7 Plus to your computer with the provided cable. Press and Hold the Power button at the right side on your InkCase i7 Plus for about 10 seconds. If successful, the installer should show “InkCase detected”. Click Next. 

*If you are having a problem detecting the case in the updater, use a small, blunt object (for e.g., a pen), to press and hole the power button while connected to the PC/ Mac with the updater opened.

Step 4:

Download InkCase Firmware (link above). Unzip and extract the .img file. Remember your saved location.

Step 5:

Click Browse and Navigate to the .img file and select it. After that, open the file. Note that all previous data before the firmware update will be erased. Click Install if you agree. 

Step 6:

The firmware upgrade is now in progress. Avoid moving the InkCase to prevent disconnection of wires. If firmware upgrade fails, repeat step 5. 

Once successful:

Let the InkCase boot up, which should take up to 2mins in some cases.
